Grudziądz Industry Park (www.gpp.grudziadz.pl) was established in December 2004 under the agreement of the Grudziądz municipality, Grudziądz commune, Grudziądz Starosty and OPEC GRUDZIĄDZ Sp. Z o.o.
The company was formed to manage the Park and was entered into the National Court Register in February 2005.
In May 2005, the Company filed a motion with the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) for funds from the Sectoral Operational Programme – Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises, years 2004 – 2006 of the project, according to 1.3:
Creating favourable conditions for development of enterprises, Priority No.1: Development of enterprise and increased innovativeness due to improving the business environment.. The project planned to build infrastructure in the non-developed areas owned by GPP Sp. z o.o. and to buy out the bankruptcy estate of Stomil Grudziądz from the receiver – two halls (rented so far), as well as to conduct a major renovation.
In September 2005, a financing agreement was signed with the Industrial Development Agency. Grudziądz Industrial Park received funds from the European Regional Development Fund to implement the investment project, which was ended in June 2008.
The main aim of the Grudziądz Industry Park is to render the industrial areas more attractive and increase the employment rate in industry.
Among strategic goals are also the following:
- Acquiring external capital,
- Developing small and medium enterprises,
- Improving the investment competitiveness of the Grudziądz region,
- Developing modern infrastructure on the areas owned by GPP Sp. z o.o.
- Restructuring the premises of the former GZPGum “Stomil” S.A.
